Today I went to the Yves Saint Laurent exhibit, it was hands down the best thing I have done in Paris so far. I was in love, it was just amazing. First we viewed some of his collections and they were to die for. Even how everything was displayed was just so well thought out and stunning. There was Beatles music playing the entire time, guess he really liked the Beatles! Then we got to see the actual room that his haute couture clients were fitted in. Obviously we were not allowed to take any pictures.. it was a very serious exhibit, with lots of body guard-ish men watching our every move. It was a little intimidating. Lastly we went into his office and studio. It was beautiful, just perfection. He had kept every single sketch he has ever done and there was a library of books filled with his sketches and we got to go through them!!! It was a surreal experience, I still can't believe I was in his office, going through his sketches... seeing where all the magic happens. I think it is safe to say that it has been a GREAT day in Paris.
